Her obituary which appeared in the Crowley Post Signal on 29 June 1989 reads: Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 30, 10 a.m. in the Delhomme Funeral Home’s Chapel of the Flowers for Catherine Goff, 45, who died Tuesday, June 27, 9:20 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes medical Center. Officiating will be Rev. Randy Youngling with burial to follow in the Masonic Cemetery in Lafayette. Visitation will be observed Thursday, June 29, 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. and on Friday from 8 a.m. until the time of the services. She is survived by her husband, D. Gene Goff of Lafayette; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L.R. Brown of Ft. Worth, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Jody “Lynn” Daugereau of Houma and Mrs. Virginia “Ginger” Sonnier of Lafayette; on step daughter Mrs. Carole Blaire of Lake Charles; one son, Michael C. McReary of Des Moines, Iowa; one step-son, Don Goff of Lafayette; two brothers, David R. Brown of Granbury, Texas and Stephen Brown of Georgetown, Texas and seven grandchildren. Pall bearers will include Marcell Bulliard, Don Girdler, Mark Thomas, Mark Gannaway, Charles Ochello and Chester Pohle. Delhomme Funeral Home located at 1011 Bertrand Drive in Lafayette is in charge of all arrangements
