MRS. HOOTS OF NEAR HUMBOLDT DIES Mrs. Albert Hoots, residing near Humboldt, died at 5:45 o'clock Saturday afternoon in Memorial Hospital where she was taken Thursday for treatment of a fractured hip suffered in a fall at her home. Mrs. Hoot was 75 year old.

The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Humboldt Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Odd Fellow cemetery at Humboldt.

Mrs. Hoots, as Clara Brewster, was born Nov. 20, 1864, on a farm north of Mattoon, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jess Brewster. She attended the Coles county rural schools. On Dec. 21, 1887, she was married to Albert Hoots and they moved to a farm near Humboldt, where they resided 52 years.

Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Roy Hoots and Fred Hoots, residing near Humboldt, and a daughter, Mrs. Charles Knowles of Mattoon. J. F. Brewster of Mattoon is a cousin.

Mrs. Hoots was a member of the Methodist church.
