Karin was born April 2, 1958, in Morrison, the daughter of Harvey J. and Suzanne M. "Sue" Sprengelmeyer Haan. She was the finance director at Educators of Beauty.
Karin Haan was baptized in Bethel Reformed Church in Sterling. Karin and Mark loved spending time at their cabin in Wisconsin, boating, fishing, and having fun. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandson Brandon, her "Little Buddy."
She is survived by her mother, Sue Haan; her first love, Mark Kimball; two daughters, Cami (Brett Hutchison) Ingram and Demi Ingram; two sisters, Julie (Ross) Babin and Kay (Monte) Eldert; one brother, Steve (Jenny) Haan; and one grandson, Brandon Hutchison.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Haan.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling, with the Reverend Kenneth Zuithoff officiating. Cremation rites and burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
A memorial has been established to Hospice of the Rock River Valley.
