Lola Eva Evans, 90, of Tulia, and a former longtime Amarillo resident, died Wednesday, April 14, 1999.

Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today in Llano Cemetery at Amarillo with the Rev. Andrew Parker, associate to the rector at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle, in Amarillo.

Mrs. Evans was born in Oden, Ark., and had lived in Amarillo most of her life. She was a homemaker and had been a hairdresser. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a son, Leon Evans, in 1962, and by her husband, Melvin Evans, in 1991.

Survivors include two grandsons, Tim Smith of Amarillo and Tab Smith of Houston; two sisters, Dollie Amerson of Van Nuys, Calif., and Velma Dillard of Amarillo; a brother, Fred Dillard of Umbarger; and two great-grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to favorite charity.
