COLUMBUS, NC – Jean Hooper Crook, 93, of Columbus passed away Wednesday morning, July 14, 2016.
Born in Raleigh, NC, Jean was the daughter of the late Arthur Hooper and Edna Gilliland Hooper. She was also predeceased by her husband Reverend James R. Crook.
Jean was a longtime resident of Montreat, NC and a former member of the Black Mountain Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Tryon Presbyterian Church.
Surviving is her son, Arthur and his wife Joanne of Knoxville, TN; daughters, Virginia Haas and her husband Michael of Salem, SC, Polly Robinson and her husband Banks of Columbia, SC, Catherine Woodcock and her husband Stanton of McLean, VA and Frances of Durham. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 7 great grand-children; sister, Marjorie Smith of PA and two nieces and a
nephew.
The family will hold private services at a later date.
