Obituary for Mr. Charles William Thompson
Charles “Bud” Thompson, 80, of Evans, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Hospice & Palliative Care of Northern Colorado.
He was born November 12, 1934 in Jackson County, Missouri to Harold J. & Opal M. (Coombs) Thompson. On October 29, 1972, he married Sena Margaret Dennis in LaSalle, Colorado.
Bud served in the United States Marines and worked as a machinist for various companies and as an entrepreneur in various fields.
He is survived by: his sons Larry D. & wife Doralee Thompson of Brighton, Charles W. & wife Lisa Thompson of Waterford, Ohio, and Willard “Bill” S. Tyrrell of Evans, Colorado; his brothers Harold Leroy Thompson, John Norris, Martin Norris and Robert Norris all of Missouri; a sister; Kathleen Norris Peters, and 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded by his wife, Sena M. Thompson, his parents, Harold & Opal Thompson, and a sister, Carol Thompson Adair.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 18, 2015 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, in Evans. Inurnment will follow at the Evans Cemetery with full military honors.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation or the donor’s choice in care of Moser Funeral Service.
