Yvonne E. Smith, age 63, of Elizabethton went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at her residence. Yvonne was born in Carter County to the late Howard Glenn Williams and Jettie Stidham Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Curtis Williams; and a sister, Loretta Mathes.

Yvonne had worked at North American Rayon Corporation as a textile worker and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed watching cartoons, Disney movies and talking to her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Jettie Mohamed Ali and husband Sadak, of Johnson City; two sons, Robbie Davis and wife Cori and Russell Davis and wife April, all of Elizabethton; nine grandchildren, Zach, Saheim, Matthew, Justin, Gabriel, Zoey, Blaize, Macey and Briley; three great grandchildren, Jackson, Harper and Milo; five sisters, Charlotte Thomas, of Johnson City, Edna Pollack and Nancy Alexander, both of Elizabethton, Rosella Miller, of Kingsport, and Vicki Gray, of Knoxville; one brother, Terry Williams, of Florida; and her former husband and friend, Carl Ward, of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A gathering of remembrance service to honor and celebrate the life of Yvonne E. Smith will be conducted at 6:00 PM on Thursday, July 14, 2016 in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Rev. Lon F. Tobin, officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Thursday.

Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton is serving the Smith family.
