1st marriage to George W. Swartzell on 12 Nov 1876, Ontwa, Cass County, Michigan
Together they had at least one child Stella Swartzell, abt 1878 per 1880 Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana census..

Sometime after their divorce and before 1890 she returned to Cass County, Michigan where her parents lived and she met and married Asa J Milliman sometime between 1887 and 1900 - given Asa's previous wife and children passed in 1887 about 35 mile from Cass County, Michigan and their daughter Pauline Milliman was born 2 Sep 1891.

2nd marriage to Asa J. Milliman confirmed by their daughter Pauline's 2 Sep 1891 Mason, Cass County, Michigan birth record, 15 Mar 1911 Cassopolis, Cass County, Michigan marriage record to Owen James Breece, and her 22 Jul 1935 Gaines, Kent County, Michigan death record - in addition to Catherine's 29 May 1914 Obituary in the Elkhart Truth whereas both her husband's are listed (George Swartzell and Asa J Milliman) - including Mrs Owen Breece (Pauline Milliman)

Per 1910 census Catherine was living in Mason, Cass County, Michigan with her parents and daughter Pauline.. After her daughter Pauline married and her mother passed in 1911, and her father passed in 1912, she may have moved to Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana whereas there is a picture of her stone in Grace Lawn Cemetery, Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana Find a Grave Memorial 197856258 -- I see no other reason for her to have either passed or buried in Indiana unless to live with or near her daughter Stella (per 1880 Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana census) or any other unknown child born in the 1880's with George Swartzell in Indiana..

I understand that Asa J. Milliman's death record and stone states Asa J. Miliman however all other records record him as Asa J. Milliman, including but not limited to his marriage record to Ellen J. Himebaugh and he is the son of Asa James Milliman and Pamela Smith married on 1 Apr 1855, Bronson, Branch County, Michigan

I have requested to merge the two memorials - believing the correct cemetery is the one with a picture of her stone, being again Find a Grave Memorial 197856258 which was approved..
