Thomas F. Miller, 97, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Valley Memorial Homes Eldercare Center, Grand Forks.

Thomas was born January 21, 1919, in Emerado, ND, the son of Fred and Anna (Berg) Miller. He served in the US Army in the Aleutian Islands, European Theatre in WWII. He was employed by Baukol Construction as a carpenter and later at the Grand Forks Air Force Base until his retirement in 1978. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and big cars. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Disabled American Veterans, American Legion Manvel Post #299, East Grand Forks American Legion Post #157 and United Lutheran Church in Grand Forks.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Russell; nephew, Mark D. Miller. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Darlene Miller; nephews, Don Miller, David Miller (Patty); nieces, Diane Sage (Dave), Debra Thompson (Regan).

Memorial Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks. Memorials are preferred to Grand Forks Veterans Park.
