Mrs. Ezrom Walling

Mrs. Emma J. Walling, wife of Ezrom S. Walling, died on Sunday morning last, of cancer. Mrs. Walling had been a terrible sufferer for several months. She was the daughter of Peter Cokelet and Eliza A. Sayer, his wife, and was aged 51 years, 8 months and 18 days. Besides her husband she is survived by her father and three children, Ormond D. Walling, Mrs Walter S. Birkbeck and Miss Ezemma Walling. She also leaves three sisters and five brothers. They are: Mrs. Henry Denison, Mrs William H. Davis, Mrs. Joseph Mount and Messrs.Isaac Dines Cokelet, Frank, William, Edward and Alfred Cokelet.
The funeral services took place, on Tuesday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, from the house, and at 2:30 from Calvary M. E. church. Rev. S. K. Hickman officiating; interment in Green Grove cemetery.
Mrs. Walling was a member of Freedom council, No. 36, Daughters of Liberty, and also of Scheyichbi council No. 35, Degree of Pocahontas, both of which attended in a body.

Emma's burial date was 23 April 1901.
