Stephen Beeman, a brother of Dr Ebenezer Beeman and Mrs Edward Cogswell, settled in Tuscarora soon after 1809.

His mother came from Connecticut with him. He cleared and improved a farm ON WHICH HE DIED IN 1860, survived by his 2nd wife, Jane and several children.

Another brother, Aaron Beeman, lived in Pike

Stephen Beeman, brother-in-law of Edward Cogswell (his sister, Bethiah or Bertha married Edward Cogswell) came to Tuscarora Township about the same time as Edward - about 1809.

He cleared and improved a farm on which he died in 1860, survived by his wife Jane and several children.
