Early this morning Mrs. John Rehfeld passed away at her home 429 South River street, after an illness of but a few days. Mrs. Rehfeld had lived in Janesville for the past fifty years; she had come to know a great many people, to mould her life around the interests of her family and of her friends. During all the years of her residence here, her associations with friends and with those whom she met in a more formal way, were always the most amicable; her personality was charming and her simple modest ability won for her the admiration of all. Mrs. Rehfeld was born in 1855, and came to this city at the age of twelve. She married John Rehfeld, who preceded her in death by four years.
Mrs. Rehfeld is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Kapke, and Miss Gusta Rehfeld, both of this city; by one brother, Fred Benwitz, and one sister Mrs. Amanda Hell of Janesville, and by two grandchildren...
