Kenneth L. Johnston

Kenneth L. Johnston, 60, of Amarillo, died on Friday July 18, 1986. Funeral Service was held Saturday, July 19 at 4:00 p.m. in Coulter Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Travis LaDuke, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Llano Cemetery under the direction of Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Bell Avenue Chapel.

Mr. Johnston was born in O'Brien. He was a retired real estate agent. He owned Golden Spread Realty in Canyon. He had lived in Amarillo 12 years and was a member of Coulter Road Baptist Church. He graduated from O'Brien High School and was employed by the U.S. Soil Conservation Service for 21 years. He was named district manager for Feild Enterprise Education Corp. in 1965 and later became division manager in Wichita Falls in 1971. He moved to Amarillo in 1974. He was a past member of the Henrietta Masonic Lodge No, 454 AF & AM.

Survivors include his wife, Annette; two daughters, Laraine Johnston and Sherri Johnston both of Austin. Two sons, Gerald of Burkburnett and Joey of Gainsville; his mother, Lorata Johnston of O'Brien; two brothers, W.D. of Gainesville and Mickey of Anaheim, California; a stepdaughter, DeeAnn Osteen of Amarillo; and three grandchildren.
