On March 4, 1890, William M. Danner married Mary Mae Furst (9/4/1864-9/13/1913). The photograph to the right is their wedding photograph. The family farmed near Drury, Illinois until early 1913 when the family moved to a farm near Pharr, Texas. Soon after they moved to Texas, Mary died from typhoid fever along with their youngest son Ernest who was born in 1907. William specialized in breeding horses. Later in life, William lived with his daughter Nellie in Christoval, Texas where he died.
William and Mary had eight children: Mary Emma (1892-1979), Minnie (1893-1942), Nellie (1895-1951), William Leroy (1898-1960), Edward (1900-1987), Joseph (1902-1953), Charles (1905-1987) and Ernest (1907-1913).
