Son of William and Anna DuBois Anderson, Born at Canton, Illinois, grew to manhood there and was graduated from Canton High School. Began employment with International Harvester Co., at Canton and remained there until entering the Army July 1 1944, at Fort Sheridan, Illinois. Served with Co. C 62nd Armd. Inf. Bn. on the European Theater and held numerous decorations, including Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Was discharged Nov 10 1945 at Camp Grant, Illinois.

2 daughters Mable{James} Plumb and Janet{LeRoy} Munts.
2 sons William Lee{Anna Mae Brent} Anderson and John W{Nancy Anderson} Anderson.
