Janice Sewell, 77, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, July 7, 2016 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, July 11, 2016 at St. Peter United Methodist Church 6507 Moon Rd. Columbus, GA 31909 with Rev. Larry Rollins officiating.
Interment will follow to Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Sewell was born January 10, 1939 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Albert and Nellie Watson Caldwell. She worked as an Executive Assistant for the Muscogee County School District.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include her husband, Charles William Sewell of Columbus, GA, children, Randy Sewell (Carol) of Columbus, GA, Cindy Mercer (Mike), Ken Sewell (Tenley) and Denice Smith (Mark) all of West Point, GA, siblings, Albert Caldwell, Jr. (Earline) and Frances Parmer, sister-in-law, Virginia Sewell, grandchildren, Christine Nix (Jason), Daniel Mercer (Ashley), Courtney Bryan (Wilson) and Casey Sewell all of Columbus, GA, Derrek Mercer (Brooke) of West Point, GA, Dylan Mercer, Taylor Sewell, Chase Smith, MeKenzie Sewell, Chelsea Smith all of West Point, GA, great grandchildren, Jake Nix, Kaylynn Bryan, Lilly Nix and Waylon Bryan all of Columbus, GA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
