Willis Ray, 73, of Manchester passed away Friday July 8th, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington.

He was born March 3, 1943 in Clay County, Ky to the union of Elmer and Beulah Grubb Ray.

He was a retired employee of Mid South Electronics, and a member of the Ells Branch Baptist Church.

He leaves surviving his children: Linda Baker and husband Mike of Laurel Creek, Meshel Smith and husband Mike of Elk Creek, and Richard Ray and wife Regina of Sextons Creek.

He also leaves the following grandchildren: Rayanna Baker, Tayton Baker, Ashley Patterson, Allison Smith, Michael Smith Jr, Caitlin Ray and Chloe Ray, as well as one great grandchild, Estella Rae Smith. He is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: James Ellis Ray of Ells Branch, Hazel Smith of Hector, Eugene Ray of Sextons Creek and Carolyn Sizemore of Booneville.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Estella Byrd Ray, his parents, Elmer and Beulah Ray, and his sister, Roxie Hyden.

Funeral Services for Willis Ray will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 12th 2016 at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Ball and Ken Bolin officiating. Burial will follow in the Ball Cemetery in the Sextons Creek Community.
