Amos Bennett was living in Wyoming at the time of the Indian attack in 1778. In 1785, he removed with his family from Orange County, NY to Wyalusing where he lived until 1791, then purchased the Ketchum possession and settled permanently in Asylum.
He built a little tub-mill at the falls, below the road, on Bennett's Creek.
Mr Bennett died in 1813, aged 78 years.
His wife was Anna and their children:
