Charles W. Franke, age 64, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016.

Chuck was a veteran of the United States Army. He was retired from Matheson Tri-Gas in 2011. During retirement, he loved working parttime for the Will County Farm Bureau.

He was very active with the Boy Scouts; a Scout Master and Charter Representative for Troop #5, member of the Will County Farm Bureau and Stone City V.F.W. #2199. Chuck was an avid Chicago White Sox Fan and loved to garden.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Sally (Meredith) Franke, three children Casie (Timothy) Hough of Mansfield, TX., Jill (John) Hart of Cedar Lake, IN. and Jeffrey Franke of Plainfield; three grandchildren Ashley Franke, Annabelle Hough and Harley Hart; sisters Barbara (late John) Zelko, Helene (Leonard) Seltzer, Christine (Richard) Sweedler, Justine McNeil, Colleen (James) Franke- Perkins and sister -in-law Janice Coppedge. Numerous nephews, nieces and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents James and Helen (Harms) Franke, three brothers Everette Coppedge, Gerald Franke and James Franke ; two sisters Marion (late Charles) Sweedler and Carol BeVier.

Visitation: Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the O’Neil Funeral Home, 1105 East 9th Street, Lockport

Service: Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the O’Neil Funeral Home Chapel, 1105 East 9th Street, Lockport with Deacon Rob Weierman officiating.

Interment: Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois.
