Anna Louise Stump, 83, of Pierceton, passed away Friday, July 8, 2016 at 9:15 am at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
She was born Oct 30, 1932 in Cleveland Township, Whitley County, to Frank and Martha (Spiecher) Austin.
Anna was united in marriage to Amos Stump on Nov 11, 1950 in South Whitley. Amos preceded her Aug 28, 1988.
She retired from Da-Lite Screen, Inc, Warsaw, after 26 years of service and was the co-owner of Stump's Mobile Home Court. A member of First Baptist Church, she faithfully attended and was very active in various church organizations.
She was a graduate of South Whitley High School Class of 1950 and was a member of several Kosciusko County home economics clubs.
Anna enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with the children and her aunt Mariana Schulz, reading, gardening and attending church. She loved to visit friends, especially Helen Mort & Bonnie Arnold, long drives with her husband Amos, and excursions with her sister-in-law Amy Stump.
When her Aunt Pat was going downhill, she dedicated herself to her. She visited her once a month, then every other week & later once a week & usually with her daughter Linda. She liked going to family cemeteries & the retelling of the family & friends buried there. She enjoyed the outdoors, including yardwork, her flowers & tomatoes, and bird watching. She was a familiar sight on her front porch, watching the neighborhood and the US St Rd 13 traffic.
Survivors include her children, Linda (Tom) Kelch, of Pierceton, Chester (Susan) Stump, of Warsaw, Sherry Stewart, of Los Angeles, CA, Ronald (Karen) Stump, of Columbia City, Thomas (Carrie) Stump and Mark (Christina) Stump, both of Pierceton; brothers, William Austin, of South Whitley and Jerry (Carol) Austin, of Huntington; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Her parents and husband, Amos preceded her.
Calling hours are scheduled from 4-7 pm Tuesday, July 12 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 am Wednesday, July 13 at the Pierceton Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mark Fishburn officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
