Our friend, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Vaun G. Morrow, passed away on July 5, 2016 of natural causes.

He was born April 25, 1933 to Arthur and Gladys Morrow in Riverton.

Vaun married Sally Bown in October of 1954; they later divorced. He married Louise Thuesen (née Stirling) on April 29, 1971 and was later sealed to Louise in the St. George LDS Temple.

Vaun graduated from Brigham Young University and The Pacific Coast School of Banking in Seattle, Washington. Vaun had a distinguished career in the financial industry, eventually retiring as an executive from Valley Bank and Trust as Senior Vice President and proudly served a term as chairman of the American Bankers Association. He was an honest and loyal man, who led by example over words.

Vaun loved to fly. He was a pilot in the U.S. Air Force after college. He loved the outdoors, especially his cabin at Fish Lake, and spent countless days hunting and fishing. He and Louise were fortunate to be able to travel the world, visiting all the major continents and many of the wonders of the world.
Dad had a special friend named Bo, his Yorkshire Terrier of sixteen years.

Vaun is survived by his wife, Louise, of Murray; brother, Gary (Shirrel), of Sandy; sister, Joan Robinson, of Midvale; sons, Michael (Kristine) of Kaysville and David (Mary) of Phoenix, Arizona; step-sons, Nye (Ruth) Thuesen and Arik Thuesen, both of Salt Lake City; six grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. Vaun was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ray; and grandson, Matthew.

Dad will be remembered at a graveside family service and interment at Redwood Memorial Estates.
