Jerry Howard Allums, 34, of Dora, died Thursday. He was born in Jefferson County and was a graduate of Corner High School. He was a deputy with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department and was also employed by the Jefferson County Board of Education. He was in the Air Force for four years and was a member of the East Walker Church of Christ and the Fraternal Order of Police. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bell Sumiton Chapel with burial in Crestview Memorial Gardens. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Glenda Allums; a daughter, Leigh Ann Allums; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Allums, all of Dora; a sister, Mrs Gwenda Freeman, Cullman; and three brothers, Wayne, Larry, and Tim Allums, all of Bagley.
