Ann Elnora Love Spackey, 104, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2016.
Ann was born June 7, 1912, in Hondo, Texas.
She was GinGin to eight grandkids and 18 great-grandchildren, and GeGe to one great-grandson. She dearly loved each and every one.
She lived a long and good life being married to Claude for 54 years, who preceded her in death in 1997. They lived in San Antonio.
She was the true matriarch of the family and kept all in line. She lived at Walnut Creek Assisted Living for nine years, where she had many friends among the staff and volunteers. Ann was a woman of deep faith. She actively attended the Bible study and church service at the Walnut Creek assisted care home with Pastors, Brother Dennis Vaughn and Jerry Kness of Mansfield Bible Church.
Survivors: Sons, H. Ted Spackey (Pat), Dale Roy Spackey (Diane), and Melvin Spackey (Emmy); grandchildren, Sheryl Skiles, Christy Slice, Steven Ted Spackey, Danae Van Bortel, Denise Jenkins, Eric Spackey, Tom Spackey and Cathy Scull; great-grandchildren, Erik Skiles, Shaun Skiles, Cody Slice, David Slice, Jenna Spackey, Julia Spackey, Jillian Spackey, Howard Van Bortel Jr., Grace Van Bortel, Lyla Van Bortel, Evan Jenkins, Amanda Scull, Justin Scull, Natasha Spackey, Marika Spackey, Arriana Spackey and Alina Spackey.
