David H. Klinges, 85, of 40 Cedar Avenue, Highland Park, N. J., died yesterday in Middle-sex Hospital, New Brunswick, N. J.
Mr. Klinges was born in Wilkes-Barre and was educated in St. Nicholas School. He was employed by the former Wyoming Valley Lace Mill where he began work as an errand boy and retired as its superintendent.
While a resident of Wilkes-Barre, he lived on Wyoming Street and was a member of St. Nicholas Church, South Washington Street. His wife, the former Mary Laux, died in November 1955.
Surviving are sons, David J., New Milford; Lee, Willow Grove, and Karl, with whom he resided; daughter, Mrs. Ruth Williams, New Brunswick; brother, George Klinges, Lee Park, Hanover Township; sisters, Mrs. Jean Bloski, Mrs. Arline Hampel, Wilkes-Barre, and Mrs. Marion Haddon, Hyde Park, N. Y.; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the funeral home, 233 South Washington Street, Monday at 9, with a Requiem Mass at 9:30 in St. Nicholas Church. Interment will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery. Shavertown. Friends may call Sunday, 2 to 5 and 7 to 10.
