Ada Dina Ricca, 90, of Salinas passed away peacefully on Friday, June 24, 2016. She was born November 25, 1925 in Soledad Mission District.

Ada and her late husband Lawrence operated a dairy in Salinas for many years that was well known for outstanding quality and production. An excellent typist and true people person, Ada was proud of her time spent as secretary to Hartnell College President John B. Lemos.

She was an avid sports fan - especially of tennis - and had many fond memories of her downhill skiing adventures. Ada made several trips to Switzerland and found great joy in visiting friends and relatives.

Ada graduated from Gonzales Union High School and Hartnell College. She was a lifetime member of the La Ticinella Club, Hartnell Alumni Association, the Swiss American Club and the Soledad Victory Institute No. 83 of Young Ladies' Institute. She was a 4-H leader and a longtime board member of Lagunita School.

Ada was preceded in death by her parents, Basilio and Sylvia Bassi; her sister, Emily Domingos; husband, Lawrence Ricca; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Ricca, Catherine Risso; and brothers-in-law Al Aguirre, Tony Costa, John (Bud) Domingos, Tony Ricca and Howard Risso.
