The son of Cleamon and Thelma (Pierson) Barkley was born on January 9, 1957 in Jonesboro, AR.
William was a member of the Christian Valley Christian Church in Valley View, AR. He was an avid hunter who enjoyed teaching his daughter how to hunt. He also enjoyed motorcycles and was a member of the Jonesboro Practice Pistol Shooters Gun Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include one daughter, Brianna Barkley and her mother, Debra Barkley, of Harrison; two brothers, Jerry Barkley and his wife, Nancy, of Hardy, AR and Steve Barkley and his wife, Rita, of Jonesboro, AR; two sisters, Linda Morris and her spouse, Greg Puckett, of Bono, AR and Rebecca Shackelford, of Hardy, AR
