Sarah Jane was the daughter of Henry and Harriet Amanda {Labe} Achorn. She married Otis Larrabee on 8 March 1849. They had the following known children: Ruth Ammaretta b. 1851, William Horton b. 1852, Emory Horton b. 1857, Franklin Eugene b. 1858, Mabel Velzara b. 1860, Elmer Washington b. 1868, Jane b. 1872 and Arnasa Larrabee b. 1874. It is possible that Sarah died in childbirth, when son Arnasa Larrabee was born.
