MRS. VANDEVENTER, 88, DIES, SERVICES SET
Funeral services for Minnie Alice Vandeventer, 88, who died at 9:30 p.m. Sunday at the Freeman-Greene County Hospital, will be held at the Myers Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Marion Arthur Noel officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvertsville Cemetery.
Mrs. Vandeventer was born in Missouri on Jan. 17, 1875. She was a member of the Concort Baptist Church at Calvertsville. Her husband, Thomas, and a son, Charles, preceded her in death.
Survivors include ten children, Mrs. Gertie Bingham, Ezra Vandeventer, Richard Vandeventer and Russell Vandeventer of Bloomfield; Mrs. Flossie Wilson, Mrs. Mary Kendall and Sheldon Vandeventer of Worthington; Herschel Vandeventer and J.H. Vandeventer of Indianapolis; and Mrs. Martha Louise Tolen of Switz City, 32 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Myer's Funeral Home at Worthington, where friends may call.
