Jerrie Martha Adams, age 78, of Dallas, GA, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016. She was born on February 25, 1938 in Barnesville, GA, the daughter of the late Kermit Gomer Spradlin and the late Clara Mae Parrish Spradlin. She worked for Owens International Glass Company, but later worked for, and retired from, Keebler after 23 years of service and was a member of the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union Local 42. She was also a member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Union Local 859. Jerrie loved to crochet, paint ceramics, loved to watch TV and was a wonderful cook. She was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church in Lithia Springs and former member of Rock Cut Baptist Church in Conley, GA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Curtis Adams; son, David Glenn Adams; and her brother, James David Spradlin.
Jerrie is survived by her daughters: Diane (John) Adams of Dallas, GA, Lorraine (David) Cannon of Newborn, GA, Deborah Warner of McCrae, GA, Pattie (Patrick) Lynch of Douglasville, and Samantha (Roberto) Benitez of Douglasville; sisters: Jean Evans of Whitesburg, Sue (Henry) Ragland of Augusta, GA, and Sue Smith of Newnan; brother: Kermit (Denise) Spradlin, Jr. of Ringgold, GA; grandchildren: Billy Jack Caneup, Cassandra Caneup, Joshua Caneup, Melanie “Rayne” Adams (Andrew) Dafford, Toby (Cait)Adams, Tyler (Emily) Adams, Ashley (Robert)Eason, Nicole Lynch (Timothy) Lane, Hannan (Jonathan) Rugato, Amanda Lasher, Christopher Lasher, Roberto Benitez, Zoe Benitez; many great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel in Douglasville with Reverend Ken Hennesy and Reverend Bob Howard officiating.
Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park at 1:00 P.M.
Hightower’s Memorial Chapel of Douglasville has charge of the arrangements.
