Ollie McKinley Prince died January 24 at Methodist Hospital after a sudden illness. He was 88.
Born in Jackson County, Alabama on March 5, 1898, he was the son of the late Jesse Prince and Julie Fowler Prince.
Of the Baptist faith, he was a retired carpenter and contractor.
Services were held today (Monday) at 3:30 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Chapel. Donald Schultz officiated. Interment was in Huntland Cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Eliza Mae Carter Prince of Huntland; two daughters, Regina Schaffer and Lela Tipps, both of Winchester; two sons, Stanley Prince of Huntland and Roger Prince of Nashville; one sister, Dora Swearengin of Princeton, Alabama; two brothers, Aaron Prince and Orval Prince, both of Princeton, Alabama; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
