Nora Achenbach, 94, of Takoma Park, Maryland, formerly of the Lehigh Valley, died Tuesday, February 13 in the Washington Adventist Hospital. She was the wife of Elwood S. Achenbach. Born in Monroe County, she was the daughter of the late George and Sybella (Green) Hawk.

She was a member of the Sligo Seventh Day Adventist Church, Takoma Park. Survivors: husband; son LeRoy of Takoma Park; daughter Rena Whitley of Kernersville, N.C.; brother Nelson of Harrisburg; sisters Bertha Hart of East Stroudsburg, Evelyn Jackman of Port Charlotte, Florida, Arlene Kapelski of Mount Jewett, McKean County; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside Services: 2:00pm Monday, Plainfield Cemetery, Plainfield Township. Arrangements: George C. Bensing Funeral Home, Bath.
