Russell Eugene Shinkle, 84, of Crestwood, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016.
He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, an Army Signal Corp veteran of the Korean War, a lifetime member of the American Legion #201 and a retired maintenance supervisor for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He was born and raised in Grant County.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil K. and Beatrice Shinkle; and a brother, Clarence Shinkle.
Russell is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Catherine Shinkle; brothers, Greg Shinkle (Sue), Gary Shinkle (Anne) and Terry Shinkle (Jo Ann).
Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visitation 3-8 p.m. Monday at Stoess Funeral Home, Crestwood.
