David was the son of James Edward and Ruth Elizabeth Sealock Ramey, but after his parents died young, he was raised by his grandparents, Russell and Minnie Sealock. He was inducted in the Army on April 10, 1968 and served in Vietnam. Among his awards was a Purple Heart. After his discharge from the Army David worked as a Postal Clerk. He was a member of the Dale City Volunteer Fire Department, achieving the rank of Lieutenant. He was survived by two children, two grandsons and a sister.
