CONNERSVILLE — Martha N. Scanlon, 64, of 1619½ N. Grand Ave., died Wednesday afternoon at her home of an apparent heart attack.

She was a native of Laurel and a member of Grandview Church of Christ. Her husband, John Carl, died in 1976.

Survivors include three daughters, Ruth Carrie Hobbs and Martha Marzetta Waters, both of Connersville, and Catherine Ailes of Fairland; two sons, James K. of Connersville and William Roy of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one sister, Ruth Moistner of Selma; one brother, James Chance of Shelbyville; 20 grandchildren; 30 greatgrandchildren.

Funeral service for Martha N. Scanlon will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Grandview Church of Christ with Robert D. Taylor of that church and Jerry Sygney of the Buck Creek Christian Church of Indianapolis officiating. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Miller Funeral Home and at the church one hour before the service Saturday.
