Mark Douglas Grubb was welcomed into Heaven by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, June 29. He was born on September 6, 1957 at the Franklin Hospital on Main Street in Broken Arrow, a city he loved and resided in his entire life. Mark graduated from Broken Arrow High School in 1976 and attended Oklahoma State University.

Mark was married to Karen Rogers on October 18, 1980 at Calvary Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, where he served as deacon for many years. At the time of his passing, Mark was a member and Deacon at South Tulsa Baptist Church. Mark and Karen were often found teaching a variety of children’s classes in both churches, where they spent many hours worshiping and serving with a loving spirit.

Mark and Karen raised two children – Anna and Chad Grubb – while enjoying a world filled with activity including motorcycles, mountain biking, skateboarding and soccer. Mark was employed for many years in the defense industry, working as a Program Manager for aerospace projects such as B1Bomber, F18s, flight simulators and the space shuttle.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Billie Grubb. Mark is survived by the loves of his life, Karen and Anna of the home; son, Chad and granddaughter, Ava Teresa of Plano, Texas; father, Royce and Carol Grubb; brothers, Leland and wife Kristi Grubb, Doug and wife, Brenda Grubb; sisters, Cindi Grubb and Patti Hardin both of Broken Arrow; plus numerous nieces and nephews who lovingly referred to him as “Uncle Mark the Shark.”
