Catherine Ellen Ford was John Robertson Morris' second wife. She was about 40 and never been married when he married her. His first wife, Martha Ann Pinkerton died and left him with 10 children to raise. My husband's grandmother, Addie Ramsour Morris, stated that she was a wonderful woman and step-mother to all of her siblings. John Robertson Morris and Catherine Ellen Ford Morris had one child, from my Addie Ramsour Morris' history book that her son, Pickens Morris wrote for her but records show that she had three children. R. S. Morris is the only one to survive, evidently.
above information thanks to email from Marilyn Morris
The 1900 census lists the children of John Robertson and Catherine Ellen Ford Morris as:
J. E. Morris age 17
Cathaleen Morris age 13
R S Morris age 12
John Robertson and Catherine Ellen were married in 1886 and RS was born in 1888.
J. E. would have been born in 1883 and Cathaleen would have been born in 1885.
I believe that J. E. Morris is actually Johnie Bertha Morris (female instead of male) and that Cathaleen is actually Martha Kathleen Morris (both are children of Martha Ann Pinkerton Morris, not Catherine Ellen Ford Morris). RS is the son of Catherine Ellen Ford Morris.
