Mr. Ira Thomas Rumley age 67 of McMinnville, TN, died Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Saint Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville, TN. He was born January 03, 1949, in Huntingdon, TN, was retired as a senior hydro operator with T.V.A., a member of Christ United Methodist and served his country with the U. S. Air Force. Mr. Rumley was preceded in death by parents Barney and Verlene Story Rumley, a sister Maxcine Chandler, and brothers Allan, Dwayne and Miles Rumley.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years Mary Ann Byars Rumley, children Lisa (Derek) Coates and Shane (Emily) Rumley all of McMinnville, TN, brother Terry (Geneva) Rumley, Huntingdon, TN, grandchildren Russ and Adam Prater and Landon and Mallory Rumley all of McMinnville, TN, and step-grandchildren Adam and Shelly Coates both of England. Several nieces, nephews, family members and friends also survive.
Funeral service will be at 3:00 P.M. Friday, July 01, 2016, at Long Rock United Methodist Church. Rev. Ricky Lee and Rev. Mark Carrigan will officiate. Interment will follow at Long Rock Cemetery. The Rumley Family will receive friends Thursday from 3 P.M. until 7 P.M. at McMinnville Funeral Home and again Friday from 12:00 P.M. until 3 P.M. at Long Rock United Methodist Church in Huntingdon, TN.
