Mr. Walter Billy Stover, 78 of Gainesville died Monday June 27, 2016 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

​A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mr. Stover was the son of the late Walter and Bertie Crow Stover. He was retired from C & H Mechanical and was very active with New Bridge Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Lois Stover, Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Phillip Watson; son and daughter-in-law, David and Tina Stover, all of Gainesville; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Watson, Makayla Stover, Melanie Stover and Clay Stover, all of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, A.W. and Bobbie Stover, Gainesville. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Stover is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Richard Stover and sister, Barbara Pittman.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday June 29, 2016 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Milton Harris will officiate. Interment will follow in the New Holland Cemetery.
