"Della Mae Reynolds 1899-2001
Della Mae Reynolds, of Willcox died Nov. 17, 2001 in Willcox at the age of 102. She was born in Crawford County, Ind., to William L. Sturm and Cora (Deich) Sturm on Nov. 2, 1899.
Della was a graduate of Indiana State University and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona in teaching. She came to Arizona in 1945 and taught for the Casa Grande Public School System, retiring in 1965. She then went back to Indiana and taught 5 more years. Della moved to Willcox in 1980. She was a member of the Northern Cochise Community Hospital Auxiliary, Friends of the Library, 75year member of the Eastern Star in Indiana, member of the Alpha Delta Kappa Honor Sorority, Arizona Teachers Assoc., Willcox United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
Survivors include her daughters Gene (Fred) Buck of Willcox, and Lois Wurschinger of Riverside, Calif. Also surviving is her brother Sidney Sturm of Jasper, Ind., and five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her husband Robert Reynolds in 1960, her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, Nov. 23, in Prairieton, Ind., with a memorial service to be held on Saturday, Dec. 1, at 3 p.m. at the Willcox United Methodist Church. Contributions may be to the Willcox United Methodist Church, 124 S. Curtis, Willcox, AZ 85643. Services are under the direction of Westlawn Chapel & Mortuary in Willcox."
