Gordon “Gordy” Edward Schwersinske, of Phoenix, Arizona, formerly from Beloit, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2016 at Banner University Medical Center after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin on April 25, 1953, the only son of Harvey and Ione (Ames) Schwersinske. He was a lifelong outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was fondly referred to as the Grilling Champion as he enjoyed his place in front of the barbeque. Gordy is survived by his lady partner of 14 years; daughter and son; sisters; Grandchildren, and by several nieces, nephews and life-long friends. He is predeceased by his parents and sisters, Ruth and Barbara Schwersinske.

Gordon’s remains donated to Research For Life in Arizona. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
