Officer Edward N. Brown, DSN 0269, received his commission as a Police Officer and entered the academy on 06/11/1956. After graduating from the academy he held the following assignments through out his career. They were the 9Th, Communication's Division, 3Rd, 1St, 2Nd, 8Th, and the Prisoner Processing Division. Officer Brown retired and resigned his commission on 06/14/1986. On the following day he started as a civilian in the prisoner processing division as a clerk at the hold-over at 1200 Clark Avenue. Officer Brown worked in this capacity for over 5 years until his retirement on 09/23/1991. Officer Brown served a total of 35.28 years of faithful and dedicated service both as a commissioned and civilian employee of the Saint Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
Officer Brown was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served in the Korean War. He achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant.

Officer Brown was predeceased by his 1St wife Merle; and by his parents Edward and Antoinette Brown.

Officer Brown donated his anatomical remains to medical science. No memorial service is planned.
