He married Jane North, the daughter of John North 1778 and Caroline VanValkenburg of Palermo, Oswego County, in December, 1843. The couple lived in Palermo, Oswego, New York.

Cassius North Snyder 1844, fought in Civil War, married Anna Devendorf and Arminda Wright, lived in Palermo and Volney, Oswego County, New York. Six children.
