Civil War Veteran of Company E, 5th Kentucky Mounted Infantry. He died of the Measles in Hickory Flats, VA, and was originally buried there, then removed to Jonesville Cemetery.

Member of the 5th Kentucky Company E. Mounted Infantry. A unit of the "Orphan Brigade". The 5th KY later became the 9th KY.

Woodford joined the CSA, when Orphan Brigade made a recruiting trip through Owen County, Kentucky in September of 1862. While in training in Jonesville, Virginia, Woodford succumbed to a measle epidemic that swept through the camp in February and March of 1863.

Woodford Cull was the son of John D. Cull and Nancy Woods. He married Elizabeth Frances Lusby about 1858 in Owen County, KY. (Daughter of George W. Lusby and Mildred Riner) She was born October 11, 1840 and died March 28, 1911 in Owen County, KY.

Their children:

1. Sarah E. Cull born December 3, 1857 in Owen County, KY and died June 3, 1932. She married Ethelbert D. Lusby on February 28, 1877 in Owen County, KY.

2. Rebecca Cull born about December 1860 and died July 11, 1930. She married Jacob V. Stivers Jr.

3. Susan Cull born February 1863 in Owen County, KY. She married Burl S. Stafford on November 6, 1884 in Owen County, KY
