BIO info; Alice Elizabeth Cox was married to a John F Byus , born in 1884 in Alabama. John & Alice had two daughters, Lucile Byus (Skaggs) and Alice Elizabeth Byus (Aston). John was a traveling sales representative. After Alice's death, Lucile was placed in the El Paso School for Girls in El Paso, Texas, where Alice's brother Frank lived. After John married Isabella Baswitz Warner, Lucile was raised in Phoenix.
Daughter Alice was placed in the home of her mother's sister in Farmersville, Texas where she was raised by Anna Belle (Cox) and Samuel Jackson Carver. Having no children of their own, they eventually declared Alice their sole heir at law.
