Laura Ellen Davis, 82, of Gadsden, Alabama, died on June 21, 2016. She was born in Asbury, Alabama and moved to Gadsden in 1945. She was a member of Alabama City Methodist Church and graduated from Emma Sansom High School in 1951. She worked for 30 years as the bookkeeper for Thomas Wholesale. She was preceded in death by her parents, Macon Davis and Eva Lee (Johnston) Davis; and three brothers, Edgar, Neal and Max. She is survived by her sister and several nieces and nephews. Funeral: 12:30 p.m. June 23, 2016 at Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
