Aaron, 92, of Harrison, passed away Monday, June 20, 2016 at MidMichigan Gladwin Pines, Gladwin. Aaron was the son of William Peter and Laura (Ross) Alt.

Mr. Alt had resided in Harrison since 1984, coming from Lincoln Park, Michigan, after his retirement from Marathon Oil after thirty four years of service.

Aaron was united in marriage to Nancy Rose (Hepworth) McDowell on March 19, 1993 in Harrison. Aaron was a member of First Baptist Church, Harrison. Aaron enjoyed reading and studying his Bible. He enjoyed deer and small game hunting, golfing, tinkering in his garage, vegetable gardening watching televised golf tournaments and cooking for family.

Surviving Aaron is his loving wife, Nancy R. Alt of Harrison, two sons: Terry Alt of Southgate, Michigan and Randy Alt and wife Cheryl of Allen Park, Michigan, one step-daughter, Lori Shuster of Sanibel Island, Florida, three step-sons: Richard McDowell and wife Karen of Denver, Colorado, Brian McDowell of Harrison and Steve McDowell and wife Chris of Clare, Michigan, nine grandchildren: Tracy Dybalski and husband John, Sam Stefanko, Kristin Arbuckle and husband Andrew, Daniel Alt and wife Sarah, Kyung Alt, Mallory McDowell, Mitchell McDowell, Emily Shuster and Dan Shuster, three great-grandchildren: Eva, Alana and Lena, many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mr. Alt was preceded in death by his parents, two wives: Juanita (Hubbard) Alt who preceded him in death in 1969 and Dorothy (Hintzke) Alt who preceded him in death in 1992, one daughter, Linda Jill Stefanko and his great-grandson, Mitchell, three sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services in honor of Mr. Alt were held Friday, June 24, 2016 from First Baptist Church, Harrison with Pastor Tim Tanner officiating. Burial was in Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock, Michigan.
