MRS. WILLIAM CURRY
Death is sad at all times but a keener pang is added when a young life with so much apparently before it is cut off from this world.
Such was the case in the death of Mrs. Fanny Lou Fant Curry, the wife of Mr. William M. Cury, which sad event occurred Sunday night, January 23rd, 1916. She had been sick about a week when the sad end came. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. L Fant of Talladega, having been born June 30, 1897. She was married to William Curry February 28th 1915, and so she passed away one month and seven days before the first anniversary of her marriage.
While a young girl she consecrated her life to her Lord and united with the Baptist church at Providence. For a number of years she was an efficient and faithful member of the choir giving her voice as well as her life to her Master.
Her strong devotion for her parents was most beautiful, only a short time ago she entered her new home. It seemed that everything pointed to a life of happiness and contentment for her here. But all Wise Providence saw fit to break up her earthly home, and she who was dear to her loved ones here has been called to a higher and better home.
Ever charitable and considerate of others, she always had a good word for every one. Now she is gone her work does follow her.
The sweet memory of her lite will abide for years to come in this community where she was known and loved.
The funeral services were held at Providence church Monday after noon at 2:30 o'clock conducted by Rev E. A. Trawick of Birmingham, after which the body was borne to its resting place in the cemetery followed by a long procession of sympathizing friends.
May the blessings of heaven rest upon the bereaved family, may the Divine grace be sufficient for each one whose heart is heavy with the great sorrow.
