Abigail Grace Segler, 18-year-old resident of Little Falls, MN passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Friday, June 17, 2016 at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN after living with Leukemia since August of 2015. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 24, 2016 at the Little Falls Community High School Gymnasium with Rev. Greg Satterberg officiating. Burial will take place in Oakland Cemetery in Little Falls, MN. A visitation will be held from 4-8 P.M. on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Grace Covenant Church in Little Falls, MN and from 10-11 A.M. on Friday at the Little Falls Community High School Gymnasium.
Abby was born on July 1, 1997 to Brian and Lisa (Berger) Segler, She grew up in Little Falls and graduated with the class of 2015 with honors. She worked hard and enjoyed challenging herself academically. She participated in track, cross country, Nordic skiing, speech, band, choir, and theatre. Her passionate love of music and theatre were evident when seen on stage or at the piano. Abby belonged to Grace Covenant Church, where she enjoyed serving God with her love of piano. She also served Him through mission trips to both Jamaica and Kansas. Her true joy was music, family, and her many friends accompanied by her strong faith in God. Abby loved to laugh and be silly. She was enrolled at the University of Minnesota in the honors program before being diagnosed with AML.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Brian and Lisa Segler of Little Falls, MN; siblings, Eli and Isabella; grandparents, Ted and Judy Segler of Royalton, MN; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and of course her many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Norman and Joyce Berger.
