Mother- Dorothea Green

Attended VMI fom 1848-1849

Bought a farm in Stafford County in 1853. Then spent several years in the West.

Buried at Indian Mound Cemetery in Romney; later moved to Stonewall Jackson Cemetery in Winchester, Va. and buried in the same grave with his brother Brig. Gen. Turner Ashby.
