Janet Louise (Price) Kinard, 79, entered into rest on Friday, June 17, 2016, at Rest Haven Nursing Home with her family by her side.
Janet was born on March 10, 1937, to the late(s) Edward C. and Hazel (Preston) Price, Sr.
Janet worked as a seamstress for Danskin for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, outdoor activities and most of all she loved to spend time with and taking care of her family.
Janet leaves to cherish her memory, three sons, Thomas Kinard, Jr. (Sharee), Lloyd Kinard and Craig Kinard; two daughters, Clara Brown (Anthony) and Tracy Kinard; two brothers, Edward Clarence Price, Jr. and Richard Douglas Price (Barbara); 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and a host of other family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her siblings, Robert Charles Price, Dolores Ynez Brown and Raymon Lamont Price.
A viewing will be held Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Small Memorial AME Zion Church, 401 S. Queen St., York, PA 17401 from 9-11 a.m. and a Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Darnell Bowman officiating. Burial will take place at Lebanon Cemetery, York.
